Dr. Inabathula joins Indiana Joint Replacement Institute as a board eligible adult hip and knee reconstructive surgeon. His area of expertise includes total hip replacement, total knee replacement, direct anterior approach for total hips, partial knee replacement, revision hip and knee surgery, and computer guided surgery. He is also trained in robotic hip and knee replacement surgery. Dr. Inabathula believes in an individualized approach to patient care, working alongside patients to devise a treatment plan best suited to their goals. Having undergone major orthoaepdic surgery himself, he treats patients with the same care he would have his family receive if they needed surgery.
Dr. Inabathula grew up in Fishers, Indiana and received his college B.S. degrees in Neuroscience & Biology from Indiana University – Bloomington with highest honors. While there, he was awarded several honors for his medical research. He then attended Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, where he became immersed in orthopaedics. He also completed a research internship at University of Oxford’s Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences. He then completed his Orthopaedic Residency at Southern Illinois University and his fellowship training at the Northshore University Health System in the Northern Chicago/Evanston area. During fellowship, he was trained in both manual and technologically assisted total joint replacement. He applies this expertise to individualize each patient’s treatment plan.
Outside of his love for orthopedics Dr. Inabathula enjoys spending time with his family, hiking and traveling. He enjoys attending Pro and Collegiate sporting events and music concerts.
