The new IOI facility features 14 exam rooms and on-site X-ray in a renovated space. Work began in September, and the new IOI space is expected to open Monday, January 11, 2027. The new location is conveniently situated just off Iinterstate-70 near US HWY-41 in the South side of Terre Haute.
Indiana Orthopedic Institute provides people in the Wabash Valley with premium-level orthopedic care guided by research and delivered by fellowship-trained surgeons. IOI Terre Haute provides care for the hip, knee, foot and ankle, shoulder, hand, wrist, and elbow, as well as fracture care, including complex fractures around joint replacements.
The new IOI Terre Haute office will also offer same-day walk-in care with IOI Direct.
"IOI began in Terre Haute in August 2022," said Dr. Michael Meneghini, founder and CEO of Indiana Orthopedic Institute. "Terre Haute and its surrounding communities, including those in Illinois, remain key to our future. "
Dr. Meneghini, a renowned hip and knee surgeon, grew up in Terre Haute and earned his undergraduate degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology.
"My mother lived and breathed making this community better," Meneghini said. "We are committed to providing patients across the Wabash Valley with musculoskeletal care that is guided by research and also seeks to treat each person like family. "
IOI will continue to treat patients at its current clinic (1725 North 5th Street, Terre Haute) until the new facility opens in January. IOI also sees patients on Tuesdays at its Brazil, Indiana clinic (Suite 120, 1214 E. National Ave) and is opening a future clinic in Sullivan, Indiana.
